can't believe 2008 went on just like that..

it was a good year for me..

Day 6360 of my life: What's for dinner edition

6:30 pm

i am standing in front of the ref, thinking deeply about what to cook for a well deserved dinner. It is a problem actually because there's so many to choose from. If you were in my position, you would understand.

1 hour later - 7:30 pm

still nothing, just standing in front the ref thinking what to cook. until i decided to close my eyes and just reach for anything in that cold space.

7:31 pm

im very hungry..

8:00 pm

finally, i finished cooking my dinner. want to know what it is? i guess not. but let me show for the sake of this article being interesting.

If you want a great pop rock band to listen to. Then I recommend this to you.



They are "the cab", an American rock band whose music is what i would describe as very enthusiastic & catchy. Their debut album, "Whisper War", contains songs that are great to listen to, with lead singer Alex De Leon's vocals giving every song a sweet & bright feeling.

Day 6353 of my life

Almost a week of not updating my blog, all because of playing too much videogames.

Saturday,  November 15 - Started playing  Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. WTF. I loved it.

Sunday, November 16 - Continued my adventure as Sam Fisher. Breaking necks were already a chore.

Monday, November 17 - Finally finished this damn game. It's great. Impressions to be posted soon.

Tuesday, November 18 - Started playing Half-Life 2, I'm really loved this game so much that I have to stop playing it just to write about it right now.

Day 6347 of my life

It's cleaning week. And i have to clean the house. that's why no face-time with my computer until today.

And the first thing I did are these. Created using photoshop, I'm really inspired after playing Bioshock on pc so here's a creation of mine.

Music of the Week

This is my pick for the first ever "Music of the Week".XD

This song is entitled, "America's Suitehearts" by Fall Out Boy. From their new album "Folie a Deux" coming December 16, 2008. And if I'm to describe this song, it really sounds like "I'm a lawyer..." from their previous album which is a very great song in its own rights.

Video of the Week

A very slow Wednesday, but I think this could cheer everyone up. This is "Video of the Week", where I get to share to you videos that everyone needed to see. This week's video is from AC/DC. What a great band they are, 35 years and they're still rocking hard. I love their music because its all-out rock and roll which is really great unlike some bullsh*t eLmo bands out there. XD.


This is their music video for their single "Rock'n'Roll Train" from their 15th studio album "Black Ice". What is great about this video is, it is made from Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet. Yeah, and I'm not kidding by the way. It's an ASCII art created using MS Excel and is considered to be the first music video ever created using that particular software. kinda cool right? well, you should watch it and prepare to be amazed.

Day 6340 of my life

Very boring Wednesday for me. That's all I can say.

And I had wasted my day searching for a video that's worth sharing to everyone. Thankfully, I found one. Also I have this picture that will bring tears in your eyes. Just wait later and I'll post it.

And finally, I have this song i want to share to everyone. I have been listening to it all week, and I love it. I hope you shall too. It's from my favorite band, Fall Out Boy, and it's called "America's Suitehearts". Sounds cool right? Well, I'll post it in a new article later.

Embrace your dreams

I'm an aspiring film maker. Film Making has been a passion of mine since I was little. But due to very little resource, all I can do is make a draft of my ideas in a notebook. It changed in my high school when I got the proper knowledge on using computers. And also, I got my first digital camera (w/ video recording), which led to my very first amateur video.



One thing led to another. In time, I learn to use a video editing software and made a short skit that I've shown to my classmates. It made them laugh so much. So, I've decided to make another one and this time with the help of some of my friends. It was wonderful. We had a lot of fun filming the acts that we made and watching it all over again, making fun of ourselves in the process.

I could say that what I'm doing is just a hobby, but someday I would really like to make real films. May it be live-action or animated. Big budget or just indie. Anything will do, for making a film for me is a dream come true.

to start off, i will introduce myself as thorougly as i can.
you can call me rouken, i'd prefer that because i like it. i'm 17 years old and i live in the philippines. i recently graduated from high school and for now i'm taking a vacation in hong kong which is where my mother is. i think i will go to college next school year and study computer programming or information technology because i like computers and studying these courses may help me learn more about them.



for my interests, let's just say that i'm an aspiring director (film maker). in my high school years i created a production crew consisting of my friends and we usually make short films in our spare time. i'm mostly the brain of the short films and my friends are the actors but sometimes they also contribute in creating the scenes. it's great making short films and i enjoy so much, being able to watch what we made is a great feeling even though most of the films are lame & boring (that's what they think). but for me, it's all good.

as for other interest, i like video games (just as much as everyone else) and i think that i'm pretty much the average kind. just enjoying what i play. and just as like everyone else, i like music too. mainly punk, rock, rnb & some others (which i don't know what genre, i just like them). also as i've said earlier that "i'm an aspiring director", that means that i love movies. i always enjoy watching them and i think that i've watch over 150+ of them. (just an estimation) maybe i'll list them someday.

so, that's about it. for now. i'm looking forward to being friends with people who have the same interest as me.

after all these years of being so lazy. i finally got the urged to write a blog. i'm j.k. wong, 17 years old and currently a couch potato. i always wanted to write a blog, because i like sharing my thoughts & interest. also i want to meet other people who have the same likes as me. pretty simple right? well, that's pretty much my goal for now. for the people who will read my blog i hope you enjoy it as much i do.
